Membership of Energy Action Scotland
Energy Action Scotland (EAS) is the charity working to end fuel poverty in Scotland. It campaigns to turn cold, damp and expensive to heat houses into warm, dry and affordable homes. EAS is a membership organisation and depends on members for some of its income and for support of its aims and objectives.
Supporting EAS
EAS campaigns for policy change at all levels of government and works to develop solutions by carrying out demonstration projects and promoting best practice. The views and experiences of members are important in helping EAS to formulate its thinking, which in turn shapes its campaigning work.
EAS relies greatly on membership fees in order to be able to provide its services and welcomes new applications and the opportunity to work with others who wish to end the problem of fuel poverty in Scotland.
Benefits of membership
It is important, too, for organisations in the field to keep up-to-date with developments in fuel poverty and domestic energy efficiency. Membership of EAS can provide this service. Members can access information and consultancy services, attend forum meetings, conferences and seminars, as well as receiving the quarterly journal, Energy Review, other EAS publications and regular email updates. Members receive a discont on annual conference fees. Members (*) can also be eligible for discounts on certain training courses.
Applying for membership
Please consider joining EAS – for further information and details of the various membership types, download our Membership Leaflet and Application Form.
NB: All new membership applications will be put forward at the next EAS Board meeting for approval and ratification.
EAS Business Supporters Group (BSG)
The BSG provides a platform for informal dialogue and debate on key energy efficiency issues relating to the private sector and its links to the public and voluntary sectors. It meets three times a year and includes a number of extra benefits. Membership of BSG has an enhanced fee and is open to commercial companies.
